this is taking forever WIP

still painting on this thing after like....  two months?  three months?  i guess it's because i'm working on it between other stuff because it's not my main focus right now...  i should have this done by (if i continue working on it like this, anyway) january or just in time for valentine's day next year...  however, i've been working on this thing more often lately because i'm actually really enjoying painting something for once wow imagine that
i'll probably do join.me's for this a few times until this thing is done (mostly so you guys can watch but also so i can ask for tips on certain aspects like the thing they're standing on or the tree to their right.) which should be fun
i'm only just now getting into the fur details because of how much time i spent on actually forming the characters and basic 3D shapes along with all the big details
today i merged the colour and object layers so it's colourful painting from now on (no more black and white) which i've never successfully done on the computer aahhh
for those of you who don't know who these two are (pretty sure that's every single one of you) the critter on the left is my fursona "dearg" and the fluffy on the right is my boyfriend's fursona "siris" who is a total cutie but i'm not entirely sure chase is giving out an original design for his fursona...  i think he may have stolen the picture and said it's his but idk...  //fidgets uncomfortably//  i should confront him about it...
also, i'm finally getting back into my determination to learn enochian (the language of angels) by drilling myself in the characters (starting today)
